Malorees School

Reading Ambassadors

Our Reading Ambassadors are a dedicated team of pupils who champion the joy of reading across the school. Chosen for their enthusiasm, reliability and passion for books, they play a key role in helping us build a vibrant reading culture. As part of our Malorees ethos, they help us aim high and dream bigger, inspiring every child to see themselves as a confident, curious and capable reader.

What do our ambassadors do?

  • Promote reading for pleasure, recommending books to their peers and helping to maintain inviting, well‑organised reading spaces where every child feels welcome.

  • Act as positive reading role models, encouraging strong reading habits across the school. Supporting younger pupils during buddy‑reading sessions, showing a genuine love of books that helps others grow in confidence.

  • Contribute to whole‑school events such as Book Week, author celebrations and reading challenges, bringing our community together.

What is their Impact?

Our Reading Ambassadors make a meaningful difference across Malorees. Their leadership helps younger pupils grow in confidence and supports a positive, reading‑rich environment. They strengthen our whole‑school commitment to reading for pleasure and inspire others to aim high and dream bigger as readers.
